Studio Gourmet was started by dynamic food professionals and a local business leader who wanted to help bring families together at the dinner table and enhance the quality of life for today’s busy people. The Studio Gourmet owners have over 50 years of food industry experience and a support team paramount to none. 

Studio Gourmet is the first of its kind to partner with a grocery store purveyor. McCaffrey’s reputation is synonymous with quality goods and client service. This partnership offers the ultimate in convenience, with the studio located right inside McCaffrey’s Grocery Store. You can complete your food shopping and meal preparation in one stop. Our customers are welcome to use the McCaffrey's supervised babysitting service in their Romper Room adjacent to our studio (all McCaffrey's Romper Room rules and regulations apply).  Please let us know 48 hours in advance if you require the sitting service for a 7:00 pm session.

Our studio is staffed with trained culinary assistants that will lead you through the stations while you assemble your selections of top-quality meals made from the freshest ingredients.

Chef Jean Pierre Tardy, Master Chef of France helps create recipes that will have your family and friends begging for more.  Only 250 chefs worldwide are recognized by the French government for their culinary skills.  In France, he gained experience and prestige working at Maxims, Le Grand Vefour and L’oustau de Baumaniere.  Once in America worked at Le Bec Fin and then in 1985 left to open his own restaurant in Newtown, PA.  Besides assisting Studio Gourmet, Chef Jean Pierre is conducting cooking classes and catering special events at his school in Newtown and at McCaffrey’s Grocery Stores. 

McCaffrey’s staff of professional food handlers, chefs, and culinary experts is now part of the Studio Gourmet team.  The McCaffrey’s staff assists in ingredient procurement and preparation, recipe development, nutritional analysis, and operational excellence.
